Do Native Americans ever regret meeting White People?

Should they have just killed them as soon as the Mayflower came ashore?

Do Native Americans ever regret meeting White People?
Duh - Lemme think.

Of course they regret the loss of their way of life and the death of so many of their people.

And your comment about the Mayflower is just ignorant.
Reply:I am sure some of them are very upset still, and they have the right to be.
Reply:Some of us have let the wounds heal, and moved on.

Some of us wish that whites never came over in the first place.

Some wish to keep others from having to suffer the same atrocities that their ancestors did:

When NASA was preparing for the Apollo Project, it took the astronauts to a Navajo reservation in Arizona for training.

One day, a Navajo elder and his son came across the space crew walking among the rocks. The elder, who spoke only Navajo, asked a question. His son translated for the NASA people: "What are these guys in the big suits doing?"

One of the astronauts said that they were practicing for a trip to the moon. When his son relayed this comment the Navajo elder got all excited and asked if it would be possible to give to the astronauts a message to deliver to the moon.

Recognizing a promotional opportunity when he saw one, a NASA official accompanying the astronauts said, "Why certainly!" and told an underling to get a tape recorder. The Navajo elder's comments into the microphone were brief.

The NASA official asked the son if he would translate what his father had said. The son listened to the recording and laughed uproariously. But he refused to translate. So the NASA people took the tape to a nearby Navajo village and played it for other members of the tribe. They too laughed long and loudly but also refused to translate the elder's message to the moon.

Finally, an official government translator was summoned. After he finally stopped laughing the translator relayed the message: "Watch out for these as$holes - they have come to steal your land."

Short version...we're still the single most discriminated race in the US today. We need to carry a government card to prove that we have native blood, and live in gov't mandated ghettos (reservations). Our lands are blockaded by the government because we won't collect tax money on people from off of our lands, and we still to this day, are fighting for the return of sacred ceremonial land (the Black Hills). Yeah, at times I really wish that boat sank...
Reply:Um, I think they would. Isn't it kind of...obvious?

They didn't just steal their land either. They also made them move into reserves and were prejudice against them.

The fact is that white people have always hated other races in the past. Well, some still do now, in the present.
Reply:If someone threw blankets infested with smallpox on me and my people, I would have to say yes.
Reply:They stole their land... and later they stole blacks from Africa to be slaves (I see that you're black...)
Reply:I'm sure they regret meeting white people. Native Americans were willing to share land and taught them how to survive in this country. And in return, they gave Indians smallpox, stole their land, forced on reservations, killed and destroyed their way of life. That's something you just don't forget. I'm sure looking back on it, they wish they had killed everyone on the Mayflower and all those who followed.
Reply:American Natives Showed pilgrams, kindness and tried to teachthe pilgrams how to farm,to hunt, and what to hunt for,how to cook it ,.Before a written word was ever seen by natives of North America, some being taught them it was wrong to kill,.And yes they do regret meeting the white eyes
Reply:They should have. Any yes I would think that they do regret ever meeting them...I would. Look what meeting th e white people did to them in the first place. They are in reservation camps!
