I can trace my ancestry back to about 1700 here in the states. I was told that our family came over on the Mayflower and that we are a decendant of Capt John Underhill. But have no link from 1700 connecting us to him? Also found family name in historical "the Doomsday Book", working for a King of England..last name 'Underhill". Thanks

It takes a lot of work. You could pay a professional genealogist to search for you, but that can be over $100 an hour. Basically, just put in the time, searching records and asking around.
Reply:try ancestory.com it is all records in the cencus and records bureau of Utah....the big info bank there,....and it is fun to see others and find family for others documenting their history too!
