Can someone please read through this, and check for any grammar/spelling errors? its just a paragraph.?

When James I became the King, he made a new religious rule. Both Catholics and Puritans were forbidden to practise their religions. Many extreme Puritans left England for Holland where Puritanism was accepted. In 1602 one hundred people left England as they said it was a place they did not wish to live in, as they were Puritans. These people were called the Pilgrim Fathers. They boarded the “Mayflower” which was set for the “new world.” There was a lot of chaos over where they should travel to, how they should sail, etc. The initial problems experienced by the Pilgrim Fathers is contained in diary written by William Bradford.

Thanx!

How about this:

When James I became king he made a new rule concerning religion. Both Catholics and Puritans were forbidden to practise their religions. Many extreme Puritans left England and went to Holland where Puritanism was accepted. In 1602, 100 Puritans left England because they did not want to live there any more. They boarded the Mayflower and set out for the New World. These people were later called the Pilgrim Fathers. There was much confusion as to where they were to go and how to get there. The diary of one of the Pilgrim Fathers, William Bradford, tells us a lot about the initial problems they experienced.
Reply:The third sentence is a little awkward. Perhaps you can write:

In 1602 because of the hostility against them and their faith, one hundred Puritans left England.

The sixth sentence perhaps you could say:

Chaos arose over such issues as where to travel and how to sail, etc. Something like that.

Everything else sounds/looks good to me!
Reply:Grammar error in last sentence.
