Is it time for all Christ followers to take their kids out of public school?

I am so tired of public school kids told the opposite of what is true, the government's new religion of humanism. Examples: evolution is not a fact, it is a theory which many secular scientists don't subscribe to, the Mayflower Compact states that they were coming to spread Christianity, this was left out of school books, families have always had one mommy and one daddy for a reason, it is called survival of the species and no it is not ok to have sex with whoever you want, what is going on? What do you think, and I know all you Christian teachers think that the school system is fine, that is because like a fish doesn't know it is wet, you don't know how anti-Christ the system is. And as to the other popular objection, Christian kids aren't mature enough to evangelize other kids, most Christian kids loose their faith by graduation because of all the lies and darkness. Maybe it is just parents being too selfish to pay for Christian schools or homeschooling? What's your take?

Is it time for all Christ followers to take their kids out of public school?
This country was founded on christian principles, rule by the majority, and the English language. Its about time the politically correct accepted this fact and stop using our public schools for social engineering and stop censoring God out of current and past speeches. FDR ended his Declaration of War speech with "So help us God ! " Past leaders have often referred to God. Accept the fact that Christian Principles founded this Country and should be a part of the educational system. If you want to live under Sharia Law move to a country that practices it. If you don't want to speak English go to a country that speaks the language you want to speak.
Reply:Public schools are free so we get what we get in the way of education. If we want anything more of different we will have to pay for it.
Reply:Homeschool your kids. I won't miss them. But being someone who's had to deal with someone who was homeschooled, I can tell you he had a lot of problems afterwards. He got his "diploma" in Texas (made by his mom on the computer), which didn't require anything for graduation. The state of Missouri would not recognize it's worth for anything, which affected him getting into a local college as well as professional certifications. He wound up having to go back and get a GED. Looking at what his classes were (over 50% were practically Sunday school-type classes), he didn't get much of an education anyway.
Reply:I am a Christian who has taught in public school for 26 years.....3rd-5th grades. I have been in the school system long enough to be able to tell you that the system is NOT anti-Christ.

All students are not Christians. Some are Mormons. Some are Jews. Some are Jehovah's Witnesses. How fair is to them and their families for Christianity to be advocated?

I teach children of all faiths.

We teach morality. We teach tolerance and respect for people of ALL faiths.

I go to a church that houses a "Christian" school. I use quotes because some of the young people who go to this school are some of the mst intolerant, snobbish children I have ever seen. They think they are better than anyone esle. They ridicule anyone who is different in anyway whatsoever. In short, they do not act like Christians at all.

Just because a school is labeled "Christian" does not mean that it IS Christian.
Reply:Tha'ts not all. The school can give sexual education, birth control and even do clinical tests on your child WITHOUT your permission or knowledge.

Take them out, NOW.
Reply:I home schooled mine and then put them in Christian school. I think if at all possible (I worked for the Christian School so that mine could go) we need to find alternatives to public schools now. I wasn't willing to roll the dice and hope that my kids would make it through the pile of lies with their souls intact.God bless!!
Reply:I attended a religious school as a child and then went to a public school for junior high and high school. In the religious school system where I was, I was not intellectually challenged at all. There was no such thing as an honors program. It was obvious that I was smarter than most of the other kids, and they made my life a misery because of it.

I didn't have opportunities with music. I didn't have opportunities to study as much science or math as I wanted. I was hungry for any knowledge I could get my hands on, and there just wasn't much available at a parochial school. My parents saw that I *was not being educated,* and that I was turning into a recluse. The constant ridicule and rejection from my "Christian" classmates was turning me into a silent, bitter, insecure hermit at the tender age of 11. They pulled me out of there and put me in a public school, where I met other kids who were just as voracious for knowledge as I was. It was the best thing that could've happened to me. And you know what? My spirituality did not suffer.

I spent 7 years in public secondary schools, went to college to study chemistry, went to graduate school, was thoroughly exposed to the world outside my safe little parochial shell, and my Christian faith has remained strong. You do your children a disservice if you automatically assume they are so weak that they cannot retain a strong faith and still learn about the world. If they cannot maintain that faith, then you have only yourselves and your parenting methodology to blame.

Thanks be to God for the blessing of a good education. Please, do not deprive your children of the same because you question their courage or convictions.
Reply:I know lots of people who graduated from public high-schools and turned out just fine.
Reply:I am not taking my boys out of pubic schooling. i love our school and i will not have a problem with telling them about god and they know to say the pledge using god in it even if they decide to ban that word. as far as home schooling i wouldnt do it we have some friends of ours from church and they took their kids out of school to home school them and the kids are so far behind the rest of kids their age groups it isnt funny. so u do what u think u need to but consider all the options first...
Reply:I made the choice.... but so many do not have that choice to send their kids to Christian schools. It's gotten so bad. I wish I had more so I could give more because kids really need more guidance and more spiritual fulfillment and knowledge in the school ... More now than ever... I went to public school when I was a kid but I would never want to now days.... I have seen such pain from some of the kids in my boys youth group.

One kid can't even read and he's 11 years old. It's very sad... but he's a believer!
Reply:Sorry to disabuse you, but evolution IS a proven fact. (Proof details are available on request; please provide an e-mail address.) You are free to teach your kids anywhere you please (I was going to say educate, but that would be incorrect) as long as you can pay the tuition.
Reply:If this is your attitude about it then by all means yes you should pay for private school. I do not want my child to be taught religious doctrine in school. Bible says it is my job. The bible is about spirit not science. As to teaching your views in school about spirituality I'm against it. Though I love the Lord I find some of your comments ignorant. The Mayflower people were british still. There was no seperation of church and state and they left to escape persecution from Catholic Church. If government takes over religion then everyone will forced to believe what they decide. God gave the choice to all, would you steal their god-given right? It is not government responsibilty to teach spirit and they would only mess it up. For example, the inquisition, the salem witch trials, the crusades and the terrorist in middle east.
Reply:You are so mentally sick, let your kids decide what they want to do with their lives, not you!!

Haven’t you ever seen those poor kids whom never gone to schools because of their stupid religious parents? they have no personality and have narrow minds just like you

**** U
Reply:Religion and school should not mix.

I don't see why kids should be subjested to christianity only teachings....

What about teaching them both ?What's wrong with that?
Reply:I am a single mom, and can not afford to homeschool, and since I work full time, I dont have time to home school. but I would love to.
Reply:Why are you so afraid of knowledge. Ask yourself why it is so threatening to your already fragile faith. You folks demonize everything.
Reply:Please go get a real education. there are just soo many problems with this post i am unwilling to go to the lengths it would require. I hope someone else does it though.

No I don't teach my kids creationism like I don't teach them 2+2 is 1.62. neither make sense or have any valid reasoning behind them.
Reply:no we can counteract it...my dad said i should write "the book says" such and such on the test when evolution was involved and im born again...I read Bible stories on sunday to my grandkids
Reply:i homeschool! and thats why.
Reply:my children have never gone to public school, and I don't expect that to change until possibly they attend college.
Reply:Evolution is a scientific theory which is completely different than what you are calling a theory.

Please provide the names of the scientists who do not subscribe to it.

The mayflower compact has to do with the Puritans and the Massachusetts bay colony, not the country known as the United States. The Puritans had all but died out at the time this country was formed.

Sex should be a personal decision and not legislated by a bigoted group of people who are more concerned with the actions of others than their own.

But by all means pull your kids out of the public school system and let those of us who do not subscribe to your narrow and bigoted views raise our kids as we see fit.
Reply:All through life kids will be told what to think. It doesn't stop or start at school. Even loving parents unknowingly misguide children.

I think the most valuable things you can teach your children is the wisdom in the bible, how to think for themselves,God's love, and how to pray.

God. Save us all.
Reply:Hiya Troll Lady. That's a nice pink hat you're wearing. What hat size are you that it fits so snugly?
Reply:Oh great, just what we need. Christians becoming even MORE ignorant.

Well, you got one thing right. Ignorance is the best way to keep them believers.
Reply:I am proud to say that all my children have personally evangelized each of their entire graduating classes. And there are three more in the system working just as hard as their siblings did the years before them. In fact, many of their teachers have actually come to me for guidance and support after witnessing God's power within my children. At that point I seek to evangelize them as well (none can deny the Divine Light). And only recently the principal came for supper, stating she had an "urgent" need to "discuss my child's futures". I calmly replied that it was HER future that needed to be examined. By the end of our session I know she was convinced of the true path.

In conclusion: public schools are not to be feared. We as Christian Fathers and Mothers can achieve great advances for the religion simply by taking that extra step to make the Light known to all. Evangelists must unite in a common front against the public school system rather than hiding in their homes. In order to conquer the lands and scourge them of the heathens we must join together hand in hand and shout our message across the barren plains. That is the only way.
Reply:I dont give a toss. Thanks for two points.
Reply:I went to a christian school. When I started I believed in creationism, thought the US should be a christian nation. Now afeter all those years of schooling I'm an evolutionist, and think christians should shut up. By the way I'm still a christian I have no PhD but am much less ignorant than you. So maybe going to a christian school males you "lose your faith" more than going to a school that teaches real science rather than myths from thousands of years ago.
Reply:Actually, it's time to Leave the Country!!! Look up H.R. 1529 which is the "Gay Hate Crimes Bill" which goes so far as to Prohibit Freedom of Speech (U or Ur Pastor can't call a "*****" a "*****" or Preach it from the Bible"), it also DOUBLES the Sentence for "Hate Crimes" without having to Prove It!!! It Will Re-Write the Definition of Marriage %26amp; Creates Discrimination towards "Straight" people (Yeah, I know, we already are getting that from the Bigoted Gays)!!! Lets face it, We ARE IN the "End Times" where "Right" will be called "Wrong" %26amp; "Good" will be called "Evil" as Scripture has Warned Us!!! Satan has Targeted our Kids because they are his Future!!! Satan is in Mortal Combat with God %26amp; We and Our Children are in the Middle of it as Part of the Angelic Conflict!!! Satan needs to turn Kids away from God (thank U Ms. O'Hare) by keeping Schools from Telling the Truth or even Acknowledging there IS a God!!! Now the "Push" is on to take God out of Government even though God it the Basis for Our Country!!! Pull Ur Kids if U Love them %26amp; make sure they Know %26amp; Love God cause it's coming down around our ears!!! John
Reply:Maybe all those christians like youself could go back to living in caves and fearing fire too.

The Mayflower Compact also states that all actions are done in the name of Lord King James (that would be of England) so perhaps we should negate our independence as well? After all...those that separated us came AFTER the mayflower, and were NOT christians...therefore such values must be evil.

And let's not forget that only the male passengers were allowed to sign, so women's rights should be done away with as well I guess.
