Why is it that north americans are in denial when it comes to telling the truth?

about americans. america is a continent, not a country, united states is a country located in north america, and it is surrounded by spanish speaking countries, set aside brazil, guyana, and canada. also teach the kids in school that mexicans never came to america in a ship starving as refugees, they were already here when cristopher columbus came, they were called aztecs then, and when the mayflower brought europeans to this continent, mexicans were already here. you might brainwash everybody, but we all know the real facts .all the american countires except you know the truth, the real one, and if you want to keep your kids in denial, hey that's on you. i have my history straight, real facts, and not what others want me to believe. is been very clever of you, naming this country america, giving all a false impression that the only americans are the ones in the u.s. when it comes to history, keep your kids illiterate all you want. and no i'm not mexican, neither a sucker!

Why is it that north americans are in denial when it comes to telling the truth?
I knew that, I have no idea why america is used to describe the U.S. I guess it's just a habit.

Reply:Americans are citizens of the US.

Canadians are citizens of Canada.

Mexicans are citizens of Mexico.

Brazilians are citizens of Brazil.

Now, what exactly is your question?

?????????
Reply:kids that live in the US are actually taught the truth you speak so nobody is really in denial.
Reply:I learned that throughout my time in the New York City Department of Education, in every Global History class that I ever took.
Reply:Sweetie, everything in this world is a lie. America is America because the Americans "bought it". When you buy something pretty much, you can call it whatever you want.

Personally, I'm sick of life and this awful world. I cannot wait until Armageddon.
Reply:While I can't dispute that you do indeed have some of the facts,I have a problem digesting the idea that you believe that you have all of the facts, for I don't believe that you do.

You see while growing up I was also taught that America is a continent, however the country that I live in is not the United States as most that do not live here refer to us by,but The United States Of America,or U.S.A which is the common acronym for which we are known.

As to your belief that we are all brainwashing our children, and not teaching them the real facts, well that is your opinion( and you are entitled to it ) NOT a fact! I will give you one more fact for your collection,( though you may believe it is only my opinion ) You did not attend school in the United States, for if you had even sat in on but a few World History classes taught to our grade schoolers, you would not have posted this ridiculous question to begin with.
Reply:Oh get over it. Most people from other countries refer to the USA as America too. Since citizens of the USA are called Americans it has just become common to call it America. No one is trying to insinuate anything. If you dont like it then dont live in America, dont call yourself american and let others call themselves whatever they want. It isnt personally hurting you if they do so.

Preach!

" uh oh! Now they are going to ship me off to Guantanamo Bay, I will be there for three years, with no trail"

Peace!
Reply:Mexicans weren't in North America, they were south of the Border making more tacos for people like me to eat
