November 11...why so important???

Does anyone know why the above day is so important? It is the day of the armistice - 11th hour, 11th day, 11th month.

It is the day of the signing of the Mayflower pact.

It is the day of several 'questionable' deaths around the globe.

It is St Martin's day in Scotland.

11 is a power number in numerology. Numerology was used almost exclusively in settling America.

Does anyone else have any input?

November 11...why so important???
In Australia and other allied countries, including New Zealand, Canada and the United States, 11 November became known as Armistice Day - a day to remember those who died in World War I. The day continues to be commemorated in Allied countries.

Remembrance Day is the day Australians remember those who have died in war.

In 1918 the armistice that ended World War I came into force, bringing to an end four years of hostilities that saw 61 919 Australians die at sea, in the air, and on foreign soil. Few Australian families were left untouched by the events of World War I - 'the war to end all wars' most had lost a father, son, daughter, brother, sister or friend.

Origin

At 5am on 11 November 1918, three German government representatives accepted the armistice terms presented to them by an allied commander, General Foch of the French Army. The demands of the armistice included the withdrawal of German forces to the east bank of the Rhine within 30 days; immediate cessation of warfare; and surrender of the German fleet and all heavy guns with no further negotiations until the signing of the peace treaty
Reply:What about 4/20, now that's a sweeeeet day.

6/6/06 was my favorite, though. Especially since on 6/5/06 everyone was inducing labor just to avoid spawning a demon child.
Reply:Veterans Day

Reply:At one time this was the day to show your patriotism and your respect for our troops that died in World War One. It was supposed to have been the "War to End All Wars" but we know how that never worked out. Today, Nov 11 is Veterans Day and the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month is all but forgotten. Those of you that have derogatory remarks to make should bow your heads in shame and while you're down there, you can kiss my all-American A S S.
Reply:Also the birthday of a great, well loved and respected man.

My Father.

Reply:The Treaty of Versailles was signed ending World War 1. This treaty had many repercussions though and partially contributed to World War II in Europe. It stripped Germany of its military and held it responsible for paying all other country's war debts. The other dates i am not very sure on and please give examples of "questionable deaths."
Reply:End of World War I
