Hotels in Paris?

Any idea or comment on Hotel Mayflower, Hotel Lord Byron, or Hotel France Louvre in Paris? Which one is recommended?

Any other suggestion? I will stay in Paris for 5 days in July. I prefer to stay near to metro line 1 stations. Thanks.

Hotels in Paris?
I went to paris last summer and stayed at the holiday inn in paris. It was beautiful and not too expensive. We asked if the area was safe and we were informed that about 200 fet away was the Jaques's (the former president) house. It was amazing and it only took about 15 minutes at most walking to get to the arc de triumphe. If you go walking down champs eleysses (sp?), get pizza at the little outside cafe with red umbrellas about 300 or 400 feet from the arc. Also, the hotel is anout 1 minute or less from a metro station
Reply:I stayed near the Pompidou museum last time, in the area called "Le Marais" - probably the trendiest in Paris. The hotel was so typically French to me, old-world grandeur at its best (it was called Villa Beaumarchais). Else I would stay in Montmartre which is the bohemian area of Paris (and also the red light district btw!). Both Marais and Montmartre are central and have plenty of metro stations (public transport in paris is excellent). Have a great trip!
Reply:I would suggest the Hotel France Louvre simply because I think the 4th arrondissement is more interesting than the 8th where both the other hotels are located.
Reply:The best way to find the best hotel is to see hoosta, there are nearly 100 hotels selected for their exceptionnal quality. Some are very expensive but others are charming and like a home away from home. You have direct access to the hotel's website aand so you have the best rate.
