The United States of America. Know as the home of the american dream in the land of oppertunity. So shouldnt everybody have the same oppertunity? Immigration is the whole concept of america, the past we come from why should we stop what is known as a good thing? All americans came from somewhere other than here, america is only about 200 years old-but yet already one of the richest countries in the world, people from all over wish to come here to fullfil there own "american dream" for many reasons.
Immagrants have been valued in america ever since before the mayflower,
so why is it that we're getting all pumped and upset about it now? Some say that immigrants should be limited, but limits result in more illegal immigrants that in many cases dont pay taxes. Americans should forget about

Many of the people who talk bad about immigrants, are having a hidden agenda, possible one of them is to create campaigns of hate posting as children who need to do homeworks, which by the way there is a forum for that. Seeing a lot of paperworks, research, etc here lately, the same old trick.
Reply:There's a difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration, and it's the latter that's the problem. People get 'all pumped and upset' because illegal immigrants get better healthcare, education and treatment otherwise and don't have to pay a dime in taxes for it. If an American commits a crime on Mexican soil, they get punished to the max for it. Yet if a Mexican citizen commits a crime on American soil, they just get deported.
Reply:I think you are mistaking illegal immigration and legal immigration. Legal immigration is limited, as it has to be. To not limit legal immigration is to not have borders. That is a different subject all together, and very, very complicated.
When you say everyone should have a chance, you touch on an issue of legal immigration. That is a good point. Not everyone has a chance. Only people with relatives in the US, or people with special skills can immigrate to the US. Of course, there is a lottery and just about everyone has the opportunity to apply for that lottery, but the chances of winning are about the same as the chances of winning any lottery.
How can we make it possible for people with no relatives and no special skills to immigrate. Well, if we needed unskilled laborers to fill jobs, we would increase the number of immigrants we allowed in every year. Unfortunately, all those jobs are currently filled with illegal immigrants. That's why it is more fair if we stop illegal immigration. That way, everyone, especially people who follow the laws and want to immigrate legally, would have an equal chance to immigrate.

Folks... there is pre legal United States, and for that matter, the world. We pushed hard for rule by law, and when that happened, we discovered a whole lot of people didn't want to obey our rule of law. We also discovered there were fools who thought we would be a push over when we demanded democracy for all.
As communications grew.. that need for a world community, and world body of laws developed. We have the U.N. now, and while not perfect, the best we have in place.
Everything boils down to this. If you want the American Dream in your country, set up a family planning program so such elements as Save the Children don't have to constantly beg for help. And take care of your children. Shuck the corruption and make you reps do your will. But basically... stay home and take care of your own country.
And the illegal aliens... not even close to what this persons described. THESE tell us what the illegal aliens are.

Reply:Another thing is carrying capacity. The United States seems like a big place but it doesn't have alot of natural resouses like water. This country has to inport food but soon water. From abundant places like Mexico. The actual reason ,even though the whole not paying taxes but taking advantge of tax paid things like public schools and healthcare, is that we have a carry capacity of only so much before we run out of our resources and the more people then there are going to be alot of thirsty people. Tina Griego, journalist for the Denver Rocky Mountain News wrote a column titled, 'Mexican Visitor's Lament' -- 10/25/07.
She interviewed Mexican journalist Evangelina Hernandez while visiting Denver last week. Hernandez said, 'They (illegal aliens) pay rent, buy groceries, buy clothes...What Happens to your country's economy if 20 million people go away?' That's a good question - it deserves an answer.
Over 80 percent of Americans demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped. But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America?

and Arizona; it's sickening beyond anything you can imagine.) By enforcing our laws, we could repatriate them back to Mexico.
We should invite 20 million aliens to g o home, fix their own
countries and/or make a better life in Mexico. We already invite a million people into our country legally more than all other countries combined annually.
