Why do you support illegal immigration?

I hear some people talk about how it's ok because that's how we got here on the Mayflower. Well that was before industrialization. There was not jobs to steal from Americans, there was no currency to send back to your native land, and crime was alot lower than it is today.



Why is it ok to let people sneak over our borders when in reality, they are lying to begin with, stealing our employment and our income, and committing crimes?



I just can't bring myself to understand this. Please explain to me your opinion on the matter so I can better understand it from all angles.

Why do you support illegal immigration?
Most illegals break at least three or more laws:

1. They come in illegally.

2. They often use fake I.D. Illegal.

3. They often use false S.S.N. illegal.



Then they kill over 5,000 people in the USA annually,

cost hundreds of millions in healthcare, and schooling.



What part of ILLEGAL are we having a problem with here?
Reply:I totally agree with you. I think that it is absurd that just a few months ago there were all these "immigrants rights" rallies, and all the illegals were saying that they were not criminals...

But if they did not cross the border LEGALLY, doesn't that make them criminals? Yes, I think that it does! Not to mention that the ready availability of cheap labor drives down the wages of REAL Americans.
Reply:I don't think it's okay at all! No Way! I think if a person wants to come here and escape a cruel country and/or government, just as our ancestors had to, they should go through the legal process, learn the language(after all they wantes to be Americans, they should have to talk like one) and its history in order to be an American. Then they will have earned the American title and the right to work and earn in America as we do. They should not get aid in any way, shape or form unless they go through the process too. We work too hard for our educations and levels in our jobs to get the status we are at and to gain respect and I believe they should work hard in schooling and their jobs also. We all should be treated equal no matter where we are or where we are from. I would expect the same if I wanted to go elsewhere, ya know? I don't believe that they should get paid by the government for living here and for education or for new cars every year like some nationalities just because they escaped either. That's too much if you ask me. Why don't we get those perks, say because my family escaped Sicily 1 and a half generations ago to get away from the bullshit in Europe period, let alone its dictator. Where's my lump check monthly, new car every year of my choice(no matter if there's a monetary limit or not) and spectacularly expensive education for a level of degree for the unlimited level of career status for me for free? That would be awesome and I wouldn't have to scrimp and save all of the time.

Reply:I don't support Illegal aliens breaking our laws and sneaking across the borders. I don't support illegal aliens who live in our country. They all need to be sent back from where they came, and if they refuse then they should all be shot!

The US was settled by Europeans in a time when there were no comprehensive maps of the world. Hell, Columbus thought he was in the Indies. HYPOTHETICALLY, if Adam %26amp; Eve were from the Garden of Eden in say,Mesopotamia, then they travelled to Greece when God basnished them from the Garden, were they illegal immigrants in Greece? NO, Greece was not a country then. There were no "laws" so nothing was "illegal". When the Pilgrims came to North America, there were human inhabitants. Those humans either lost the effort to prevent Europeans from colonizing this land or they simply allowed it by doing nothing to stop it.
Reply:There's no such thing as illegal immigration so how can one support it or not. The immigration issue is a dodge to keep really ignorant Americans from thinking about the "war" we've lost so badly! Oh, and if an "alien" could take your job, it's not because he'd do it cheaper; it's because you were a goof-off. Sorry if you are un- or minimally-employed, but it's not immigrants' fault.
Reply:I don't think that you will find one person that says that they condone illegal immigration, it is unnerving to know that people are not checked before they come into our country, they could be violent criminals, terrorists, or have communicable diseases.



I think that you may find answers like mine, who are looking for a comprehensive immigration reform. As it stands now our south American neighbours only chance of immigration are family based claims, those that have no family that are legally here are out of luck. There should be a way for the average man to legally come into the united states to live. I am not saying that everyone should come in, but everyone should feel like they have a chance to come in.



Those that are already here need to be checked, by looking at medical history and criminal activity, which of course would be something they pay for, not the government. We start weeding out the unwanted and start paving a path to citizenship for the desirable. We charge fines for illegal entry (how's that for an economy boost)



What I want is for this country to be safe and fair and free of the hostility that we are feeling. Let's make some immigration changes because obviously with the amount of illegal immigrants in the US, you can tell that our current laws and policies are just not working.
