And how would you say the government has changed/developed/grown/stayed the same since from the Mayflower Compact to the Bill of Rights?

Reply:We have a plutocracy. The Mayflower Compact was not a government-making document, but in a sense we have moved from a male-dominated landowner rule through a broader government involving the poor and women and have now returned to rule by rich white men.
Reply:Not much change. Still a two party system.
Reply:Better than most, but way to much federal power now. Federal govt. needs to be much smaller and let the states govern themselves more.
